We make

The familial estate is located in Ammerschwihr (Haut-Rhin) and has been in biodynamic viticulture since 1998. For the last ten years, we, AurΓ©lie Fayolle and Arnaud Geschickt, have been in charge of it.

We have a great team surrounding and helping us, who undertands our approach and knows well our vines : Jean, TimothΓ©e, Nyah, Ponpon and Jim. Every day, each of them brings his or her own energy and insight, feeding our perspective.

Of course, there is also Leo-Paul, and Iris, our mare.

As farmers, we have the responsibility to shape the landscape and bring

15 years ago, we started to plant trees around the vineyard plots. And then, right in the middle of it. These trees are shelters for the animals, constitute a healthy competition for the vines, provide shadow for the plants (and for us as well), create diversity, are pretty and even give fruits. For that matter, having a cherry tree just next to a parcel of gewurztraminer on the Grand Cru Kaefferkopf made us imagine a wine made of grapes and cherries : Beetle Juice.

So making wines also means telling about the landscape. And maybe, the more beautiful, harmonious and alive the landscape is, the more the wine is too.

natural wine, free, plants, herbs, vines

To preserve, respect and care

To make coherent life and culture choices

this is important for us

is plural

We have 4 hectares of Grand Cru in the Kaefferkopf and the Wineck-Schlossberg. We try to express them in different ways through our work at the winery. Each cuvΓ©e says an aspect, tells an insight, a moment, a space, and every year, it starts over again. Our ambition is to offer different interpretations of the landscape. These interpretations can be drunk and shared during joyful moments as well as more serious ones, as you want.

In the Grand Cru Kaefferkopf, there are several terroirs. This diversity is precisely what we love, as you may have understood. That’s why we decided to identify them with their historical Β« lieux-dits Β» names. For instance, the Β« Purberg Β» is rather chalky while the Β« Pfulben Β» is rather granitic.

The Wineck-Schlossberg in Katzenthal is one of the smallest and highest Grand Cru of Alsace. It is South facing, very steep and highly granitic.

The rest of the domain is located in Ammerschwihr and its surroundings, and that is very well too.

So our identity is there, tangible in the attention and the care we give to tell the multiple

It is the movement

of our landscape, of our desires, our moods. It is all our grape varieties. It is the adventure of each vintage, the journey of each ever-changing cuvΓ©e, of the collaboration with artists to embody the intention of each wine. It is all the tastes, the sounds, the smells, the colors, the textures, of our days, of our nights, of the vines, of the seasons, of the fermentation

it is life

In our cellar, there are one-hundred-year-old Β« foudres Β» (oak casks) which were here before us. We supplemented them with barrels and amphorae. Our cellar is large enough to accomodate two vintages. That enables us to age the wines longer, to make tests and to wait for the very right moment to give them to drink.

Because we know that when we have the bottle in front of us, it is difficult not to taste it.

We work with distributors all over France, Europe and the world. They are our partners : our relationships are based on trust and interactions.
